Help plan the party of the year for the LHS Class of 2020
Volunteers are sought to start planning the party of the year! Project Graduation 2020 for seniors graduating from Lahainaluna High School will take place on Sunday, May 24.
Prior to the start of Project Graduation events, Maui had a history of tragic crashes on high school graduation nights.
Project Graduation is a celebration held for the graduating class to keep them in a safe party environment.
The students go to a memorable, supervised, all-night celebration with their classmates.
Equally important, the new graduates are not drinking and driving, out on the roads late at night or engaging in activities that put their lives at risk.
Committees are forming now to plan the event for the Lahainaluna Class of 2020.
Parents from all grade levels are welcome, and much help is needed, reported event organizer Joanna Stockham.
There are fundraising and event planning opportunities, as well as ways to help the night of the event.
Stockham wrote, “Come find your place on a committee. Be a part of the greatest gift parents can give their seniors: one last, unforgettable evening with their classmates!”
The first meeting will take place on Monday, Sept. 9, at 6:30 p.m. in the school library. For information, contact Stockham at (808) 280-6049 or joannastockham67@gmail.com.
Get involved in Project Graduation and help keep members of the Lahainaluna Class of 2020 safe during one of the biggest nights of their lives.
