Help plan West Maui’s future
Residents have bought into the West Maui Community Plan update process, contributing their insight to help guide the future of this beloved region.
The community plan will guide future development and revitalization in West Maui from Ukumehame to Honokohau.
This policy guide will help influence decisions about the character of new development, land use, parks and infrastructure over the next 20 years.
In the next step in the process, the Maui County Planning Department will host two open houses to receive public input about planning alternatives to manage change in West Maui over the next two decades.
Scheduled at the West Maui Senior Center at 788 Pauoa St. along Lahainaluna Road on April 3 from 5 to 8 p.m. and April 6 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., these open houses will serve as the final chance for public input before a draft of the updated West Maui Community Plan is submitted to the West Maui Community Plan Advisory Committee in late spring.
If you can’t make it, participate in the online open house at www.wearemoui.org from April 3-10.
