“I firmly believe that the success of a student revolves around a positive working relationship among the student, the teacher and the parent,” said Lahainaluna High School Teacher CJ Ancheta.

Parents can learn about their student’s education – and open informal communication and establish rapport with teachers – at LHS’ Open House on Wednesday, Sept. 5, from 1:45 to 4 p.m.

“This is an opportune time to make connections between parents and the teachers and to build relationships,” said Ancheta, a member of the Open House Committee.

Parents and the general public will check-in at the school cafeteria at 1:45 p.m., where there will be a brief welcome program.

At 2:15 p.m., parents will proceed to their child’s respective classrooms. There will be student volunteers strategically situated on campus to help parents navigate to the classrooms. The day will have a regular bus schedule.
