Dine out and support Maui Humane Society’s great work

By Staff | Apr 26, 2018

West Siders can easily support the vital work of the Maui Humane Society on April 30.

MHS is holding its first-ever “Dine Out for Pets” on Monday.

Come celebrate National Adopt a Shelter Pet Day on April 30 by dining out at these participating West Maui restaurants: Breakwall Shave Ice, CJ’s Deli and Diner, The Dirty Monkey, Down the Hatch, Kohola Brewery and Pioneer Inn.

Visit Maui Humane Society’s website at www.mauihumanesociety.org for other locations around the island.

Each establishment has generously agreed to donate a portion of the proceeds from that day’s sales to benefit Maui Humane Society.

Residents can also stop by MHS that day and pick their adoption price on any adult animal.

MHS, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, has been in existence for 66 years and is the only open admission animal shelter on Maui.

Its mission is “to protect and save the lives of Maui’s animals, accepting all in need, educating the community and inspiring respect and compassion towards all animals.”

Each year, MHS helps thousands of animals, taking in over 6,000 to the shelter and serving many times that number through community outreach programs.

Equally important, through its programs and services, MHS provides support for Maui’s approximately 90,000 pet owners as well as Animal Management Services for the County of Maui.

Support the important efforts of Maui Humane Society by dining out on Monday.
