Help improve Lahainaluna High School by joining the PTSA
The Lahainaluna High School PTSA (Parent Teacher Student Association) is actively seeking new leadership.
Nominations are open to all parents and community members for the upcoming 2018-19 school year.
The PTSA election will be held in April, so the panel wants to spread the word now for nominations for interested parents and community members.
PTSA member Liz Sager explained, “Whether joining the PTSA as a member or stepping up to a board position, the Lahainaluna PTSA offers an opportunity to make a difference.
“The PTSA provides resources and support outside of the regular educational environment to parents, teachers and students, so that Lahainaluna’s students can excel in education, society and life.”
Each year, the Lahainaluna High School PTSA hosts activities and events to engage families, students and teachers, including sponsoring the Lahainaluna Festival-I Ka Nani O Lele, hosting the annual Teacher Appreciation Luncheon, coordinating the Reflections Art Program, fulfilling Teacher Wish List requests to provide additional resources to the classrooms, offering merit scholarships to graduating seniors and holding a safe, drug- and alcohol-free, fun-filled Project Graduation event for seniors on their graduation night.
Interested parents may contact the PTSA at lahainalunaptsa@gmail.com for a nomination form or more information.
