Support LHS and its students on Saturday
A new school-wide “super event” will debut on Saturday, Sept. 3, at Lahainaluna High School.
Students, parents and the loyal LHS school community have to be excited about the Lahainaluna High School Festival set for 1 to 10 p.m. on campus.
With a lineup as strong as the former “A Taste of Lahaina” events down the hill, The PTSA is hosting this fundraiser to support the cherished school and its students.
With the theme “I Ka Nani O Lele – Amidst the beauty of Lahaina,” the benefit will feature live music, game booths, silent auction, crafts and clothing, “Lei”bor Day Lei Contest, food from popular eateries and lunch trucks, keiki activities and information booths.
Proceeds from the festival will be used to enrich learning experiences for the students, faculty and staff of LHS, and help fund extracurricular activities and sports.
“Come enjoy ono grinds, crafts, games and nonstop music from Matagi, Ekolu, Willie K, TJ Flats, Uncle George Kahumoku and many more,” the PTSA noted on the event’s Facebook page.
“We will also hold a silent auction with amazing items to bid on!! Fun lei making will take place along with a lei contest. Bring the Ohana, your friends and spend the day with us and help support Lahainaluna’s clubs, sports and organizations!”
For tickets or more information, e-mail LHSFestival414@ gmail.com or visit www.facebook.com/lahainaluna.fest. Pre-sale tickets are available for $5 per person at Mid Pacific Tattoo or at the Lahainaluna School Store. The cost will be $10 per person at the entrance gate on Saturday.
