Help LahainaTown Action Committee foster the vitality of Lahaina

By Staff | Jan 7, 2016

LahainaTown Action Committee is an important group that many residents and merchants may take for granted.

It’s easy to come to Lahaina for the monthly Second Friday Town Party, Fourth of July fireworks, Halloween, Banyan Tree Birthday Party and many other events without thinking about the volunteer work that goes into them.

LAC has made great strides in its leadership and viability in recent years. It can become even stronger with new members contributing their ideas and talents.

If you are interested, attend LahainaTown Action Committee’s Annual Meeting on Monday, Jan. 25, at 5 p.m. in the Pioneer Inn Courtyard. This year’s guest speaker will be announced soon.

Meet LAC board members and offer ideas for the 2016-17 event calendar in town.

The meeting will also feature board elections, music by Maui Jam, light pupus, refreshments and a no-host bar.

For more information, contact LAC Executive Director Lynn Donovan at 667-9175 and check out www.visitlahaina.com.

LAC board members past and present represent a “Who’s Who” of town community and business leaders.

LahainaTown Action Committee was formed by business owners and residents in 1988 to preserve the historic integrity, re-kindle the small town atmosphere and promote the uniqueness of Lahaina.

Lahaina Town is in good hands with LAC and Lahaina Restoration Foundation protecting it.
