Join the fight against cancer
West Mauians on Saturday, July 18, have the opportunity to participate in the world’s largest and most impactful fundraising event to end cancer.
The inspirational event is the American Cancer Society Relay For Life of West Maui.
Relay For Life unites communities around the world to celebrate people who have battled cancer, remember loved ones lost and take action to finish the fight once and for all.

The American Cancer Society 2015 Relay For Life Committee’s second annual Rummage Sale will be held on Saturday, June 27, from 7:30 to 11 a.m. at Lahaina Hongwanji Mission’s grounds at 551 Wainee St.

Featuring entertainment, the inspiring Survivors’ Lap and touching Luminaria Ceremony to remember loved ones lost to cancer, honor people who have fought cancer in the past and support those now battling the disease, the overnight Relay For Life of West Maui will run from 6 p.m. on July 18 to 6 a.m. on July 19 at Lahaina Recreation Center.
While the medical community has made great progress in cancer detection and treatment in recent years, according to ACS, there will be an estimated 1,658,370 new cancer cases diagnosed and 589,430 cancer deaths in the United States this year.
“Today, with the support of thousands of volunteers like you, the American Cancer Society is helping save more than 400 lives a day,” the organization reported.
“And we won’t stop until we finish the fight against cancer! Please join us!”
