Help the LHS Foundation continue its important mission

By Staff | Apr 9, 2015

Want to link up with old friends and support the Lahainaluna High School Foundation?

Last week, the foundation announced plans for the eighth annual LHS Class Challenge fundraising golf tournament at 11:30 a.m. on Friday, July 17.

A novelty aspect of the event is its location – Hawaii Prince Country Club in Ewa Beach – attracting Luna supporters from around the state.

The tournament is intended as a “fun”-raising event to promote friendly competition between classes of LHS alumni and their friends.

LHSF is dedicated to fostering a superior high school experience for all Lahainaluna students, providing resources and opportunities to the school community, and assisting in preserving and perpetuating Lahainaluna’s unique culture, history and traditions.

Its many important efforts include the LHS stadium project, providing scholarships to LHS students and supporting the Boarding Department and other educational programs.

The entry fee is $600 per four-person team, which includes lunch and dinner. The options are “All Class,” with all four members from the same LHS graduating class; “Some Class,” with a minimum of one member from LHS; or “No Class” open to anyone. Sponsorship packages are also available.

For more information, call (808) 944-4567.

All net proceeds from the tournament go to the Lahainaluna High School Foundation, the nonprofit organization dedicated to the promotion and support of the school’s students and faculty. Sign up and help the foundation continue its important work in our community.
