Dine out to help Hospice Maui

By Staff | Nov 6, 2014

Go out to eat on Tuesday, Nov. 11, to help ensure that hospice care is available to all Maui residents in need.

Thirty-six restaurants island-wide are participating in the fifth annual “Dine Out for Hospice Maui!” this year.

“With enthusiasm, we ask the residents of Maui to ‘Dine Out’ and support this community-spirited fundraising event. Hospice Maui has been serving the community of Maui since 1981 with compassionate hospice care. Each day, the Hospice Maui staff provide expert medical care, physical comfort, emotional and spiritual support for over 60 patients as well as support and respite for the patients’ family,” the charity noted.

West Side restaurants participating this year include Aloha Mixed Plate, Cane & Canoe, Honu Seafood & Pizza, Leoda’s Kitchen & Pie Shop, Mala – An Ocean Tavern, Maui Brewing Co., Merriman’s Kapalua, Roy’s Kaanapali, Sangrita Grill + Cantina and Teddy’s Bigger Burgers. Visit www.HospiceMaui.org‘s “Dine Out” Event Page to see the entire list and the eligible meal periods.

Simply enjoy a meal out, and a portion of the proceeds will go to Hospice Maui.

Hospice Maui provides quality, compassionate hospice care to maximize the comfort and dignity of those in their last months and weeks of life, wherever they call home.

Highly trained and experienced professionals, including an all-RN hospice nursing staff, care for the patient and support the caregivers, as well as anticipate and address the complex physical, emotional and spiritual issues that can arise.

It can’t get much easier to support a vital island charity. On Tuesday, plan to be among the 5,000 Maui residents and visitors who will “Dine Out for Hospice Maui!”
