I’ll help you set up autofill, which will automatically fill in your name, address, zip code, phone number, e-mail, password and credit card information when you go to a site that requires it.

This works in Safari, so when you get to a web page with a field called “First Name,” right-click inside the box; at the far right, a symbol appears that looks like a circle with a person inside it. Next to it is an upside down V. Click on it, and it should fill in your First Name, Last Name, E-mail address and all the rest of the information required, and if your use the shortcut (Shift, Command A), it will do it automatically.

But before you can do all this, you have to set up YOUR contact information with all the stuff in it. So let’s first start out by clicking on the Contacts App and tapping on the + sign. There you will enter your name, phone number, e-mail and home address. Also click on EDIT and fill in other information. If you notice, there are WORK and HOME fields. I put in my AOL e-mail for WORK and my iCloud e-mail for HOME.

When you’re finished, click on CARD at the top and select “Make This My Card.” So when a form appears on a website asking you to fill in your information, just click your mouse in the field “NAME.” There an icon will show up that has a human face inside a circle. Clicking on it gives you the option to select which e-mail address you want to choose. Enter either the HOME or WORK. Wait, don’t go for an aspirin yet. Let’s add some more goodies to your autofill like credit card information. That’s pretty easy to do, so let’s open up Safari; at the top left, click on Safari, then on Preferences and choose Autofill. A list appear where you can edit User information, Passwords and Credit Cards. Make sure you click on them all.

If you click on Credit Cards, you can add a Mastercard, Visa, American Express or any other one. Also go ahead and click EDIT on “User Names and Passwords.” There you can choose what you want to use for your e-mail and password.

Okay, so now that you almost fell asleep reading this, wake up and give it a shot. This will help you to fill out many forms that would have taken you the time when you can’t remember where your live, your e-mail password and credit card information.
