Try the new ‘Quick Note’ option
I use the Notes App to keep important stuff in it, and I even use it like a diary for what I do every day. When I have a senior citizen moment and can’t remember what happened yesterday, I open up my Notes.
In almost every app, there is a Share icon that looks like a square box with an arrow in it. When clicked on, you get many options, like send as an e-mail or message. But there is a new option called “New Quick Note.” When selected, you can create a new Note, and it’s saved in the Notes App. So, for instance, you have a web page opened and looking at an article for lug nut polish cleaner for your 1964 Edsel. You could select the text or photo, then on the top right of the page is the Share icon, and by clicking on it, quickly choose “ADD TO QUICK NOTES.” Now open up the Notes App, and there is a photo and text of lug nut polish.
What is “Collaborate?” When collaborating, you’ll see options to invite people or your contacts, and they can share the information in a Note and be allowed to edit it. So what this all means in simple terms is that you can create a Note with photos and important information, share the note with friends, and they can edit and change the text or add a photo to the note. If you’re a lawyer and creating a living will or a divorce document, this new Collaborate feature allows you to view the document and make changes. When the lawyer opens up the document the next day, he or she will see the changes made.
On the new Notes App, in the upper top right side is an icon next to the Share icon called “Share Note” that lets you choose to Mail, Message, Copy Link or Airdrop. Below is “Permission,” where you choose the people you can invite who can make changes to the note. So try it out for fun. Send some friends a resume in Notes. Ask them to look at it, click on the Share Note and edit it — adding what a “Fantastic Person” you are. When you get it back, look at it and try making some more changes.
