More new features coming in the Ventura iOS

By BY GEORGE GORDON/Computer Guru - | Aug 12, 2022

Here are some more cool features for the new Mac operating system called Ventura coming out soon.

The new Lock Screen allows you to create new wallpaper pictures, and you can put four widgets on it. Photos can look really sharp with the new Lock Screen, and you can even set it to rotate through your pictures with the “Photo Shuffle” wallpaper.

So when you first turn on your iPhone, and before you type in your password code, you’re in the Lock Screen mode. These new Widgets can give you a quick weather update with out signing in.

Now with iOS 16, Apple offers a built-in tool to find and delete duplicate iPhone photos that’s super easy to use. How many times do you see the same three exact photos on your iPhone? Trying to delete them with 30,000 other photos on your phone is time consuming. Get this: you can remove the background in a photo. Want to get rid of your mother in law in your family photo?

In reality, the background removal tool works nearly anyplace you have an image in iOS. If someone sends you a picture in Messages, you can long-press on the subject and instantly remove it from the background. After you separated the image from the background, you can drag it anywhere throughout iOS. So, for instance you can paste it into a document. This includes dragging it into iMessage, and you can even copy it to apps like iMovie.

Now users will be able to use the iPhone as a Mac webcam. Continuity Camera first arrived with macOS Mojave and allowed users to take pictures with iPhone or iPad and instantly have them show up on Mac. With the power of Continuity Camera, Macs can automatically recognize and use the camera on the iPhone when it is placed nearby. Bring your iPhone near your Mac as you launch FaceTime, Photo Booth, Zoom or any other app that can utilize a camera (in web browser, too) Your Mac should automatically switch to using your rear iPhone camera.Well, big deal. You already have a camera on your Mac. But you could use this as a spy camera and place it on the dinner table to get the latest gossip.

What’s Visual Look Up? This feature lets you select a photo on your phone and get quick information about the subject of the photo. Tap on a picture of poison ivy for instance, and it gives you the flower name and information about it. Tapping the Share button, you can send the image directly to another person or use AirDrop. Select Copy, and the image is stored on your iPhone’s clipboard to be pasted into whatever app you choose.

There are so many cool features coming out soon, and you have the option the pick and choose which features will be useful for you. So keep this article handy, and when Ventura comes out, try some of the things here and see if you like them.
