Need to sort a list in alphabetical order?
A few people asked me if you can fax from an iPhone or iPad. Yes you can. There are two apps you can choose from. The free one is called Fax Burner, and the paid app is called IFAX.
Do you have a Christmas list of family and friends whose names and addresses need to be sorted in alphabetical order? It’s really easy using the Numbers App.
If you have a long list that’s in Microsoft Word, Pages, Text Edit or WordPad, just choose Edit at the top, Select All. Everything turns blue. Select Edit at the top again and choose Copy. Now open up the Numbers App, and at the top choose Edit, Paste. The names or addresses are now pasted in the first column. Click on Organize at the top, then click on “Show Sort Options.”
On the top right side, you’ll now see SORT. And underneath are the options to choose from, like using Column A, Ascending, Descending and so forth. Just choose an option and then click on Sort Now. That’s it.
Ready for the ultimate Password trick? Many people forget their passwords for each website, e-mail, iPhone and anything else. Well, here is a way to make it easy.
Just add something to the end of your password like 808. So you can create ebay808, aol808, google808 or amazon808.
In my last article, I told you how to use Maps to locate your car in a parking lot. But let’s say you’re almost to the store and forgot to lock your car. Instead of walking back, just place your key fob’s metal key under your chin and press Lock. By doing this, your chin turns into an antenna, extending out a stronger signal than just pressing the button on your key fob.
On the new iPhone 13 Pro and the iPhone 12 Pro is a small black lens on the back side of the iPhone next to the camera lens. This new lens called Lidar can enable a type of 3D effect.
I downloaded an app called 3D Scanner App to try it out. What I did was open up the app that enables the camera, then I focused it over a chair. The app started to construct lines around the chair, and when finished I could use my finger on the iPhone screen to rotate the chair up, down and sideways. I’m sure contractors could somehow use this in building homes, and maybe Realtors could use it to create a 3D room effect.
Also with the 13 Pro, you now have a Macro with your Camera. Go to Setting, Camera, click on Macro Control. Now you can zoom in on something just by placing your iPhone camera close to any object, and it automatically switches to Macro. You should see a small yellow icon when it’s turned on.
Also, with both iPhone Pros, you have the option of using Raw Photos, which enhances your pictures.
By just downloading music instead of streaming it, your iPhone won’t heat up. You’ll notice that it’s much warmer streaming music.
