Check out the FilmBox App

Did you know that iPhone users can change the font size on an app-by-app basis? This means you can have a different font size on Twitter than you do when using Facebook or Instagram.

Microsoft just came out with a new app called “Team.” This is a walkie- talkie app that works on iPhones and Androids, too.

I just downloaded a new app called FilmBox. This app lets you take all your old camera negatives or slides, hold them up to the iPhone camera, and it instantly creates a colored photo. I was blown away by how this app works.

I had some old negatives of my diving days. I held one of them up to my iPhone camera about two inches away and pressed the red button that takes the photo. Pretty decent colors came out, and the focus wasn’t too bad. You need a white background, so I just opened up my e-mail app that had a white background screen — it worked pretty well.

To keep the camera steady and press the red button was hard to do, so I plugged in my earphones. Now all I have to do is press the volume down on it to take the shot.

Thinking of switching over to an Android phone? To migrate your data, such as contacts and pictures, to an Android phone, the quickest and most reliable way is with your Android phone’s built-in Migration App. To set up a Google Pixel, connect both devices with the dongle in your Pixel’s box.

Microsoft released Windows 365 for business users this morning, making its flagship operating system widely available as a subscription for the first time. It’s a major step toward Microsoft’s vision for “Cloud PCs.” Customers will be able to stream Windows 10, and later Windows 11, to any device, including Mac, iPad, Linux and Android. Prices will range from $20/month per user to $162/month.

People are sometimes confused about the difference between fiber and cable that use the Internet and TV. There are, of-course, other sources you can choose from, such as DSL and satellite, besides fiber-optic and cable.

The short version: fiber is faster, more reliable and more expensive. Cable is slower, but it still supports fast speeds and is more widely available.

Fiber-optic technology uses small, flexible strands of glass to transmit the information as light, and it can carry more data. Cable data is transmitted via electricity, and it uses coaxial cables.

With fiber, it would take you less than ten seconds to download a two-hour movie, and you can upload information to the Internet just as fast as you can download it.

The big drawback of cable technology is that you share your bandwidth with neighbors, and your speeds will slow during evenings.
