Committee planning an exciting night for Lahainaluna graduates
The Class of 2010 is less than two months away from taking their last walk as Lahainaluna High School students. Thoughts are focused on plans to complete the high school year, finalize higher education acceptances and establish possible career choices.
In addition to strategizing in these areas, we hope that everyone remembers that our upcoming graduates are being treated to a safe, fun and memorable graduation celebration, Project Graduation.
Project Graduation celebrations are hosted for graduating seniors by numerous organizations in each of the 50 states. Lahainaluna High School’s PTSA has been celebrating with a Project Graduation event for over 15 years. Last year’s event gathered together close to 150 of our graduates.
Graduation is scheduled for May 23, 2010. Project Graduation begins approximately 40-50 minutes following the graduation ceremonies.
The goal of Project Graduation is to host a drug- and alcohol-free environment for our graduates to enjoy one last formal activity as a class. We have planned an all-night affair of activities that will be a surprise to the Class of 2010.
There is still time to sign up your senior for the exciting, fun-filled night. We know that graduation is a special time for family and friends, but this is the last chance for these graduates to spend time together as they step through the threshold that begins a new part of their lives.
Sign up now for Project Graduation 2010! Registration forms can be found in the Lahainaluna High School office.
If you would like to make donations for the event, please contact the Project Graduation Committee via Barbara Newton at 281-6958.
