In honor of National Child Abuse Prevention Month, Mayor Richard Bissen, Paul Tonnessen of Friends of the Children’s Justice Center of Maui and others joined together Saturday at the ‘Ohana Fest at Maui Nui Botanical Gardens in Kahului.

The ‘Ohana Fest offers fun activities and vital resources for in-need and at-risk local families.

Mayor Bissen presented a proclamation at the annual event, saying: “I encourage all citizens to support our community agencies in their efforts to educate everyone about child abuse, neglect and its prevention.”
