On Monday, the MMEU (Mobile Medical Education Unit) was stationed along Kalama Park offering Maui’s houseless community mental health services, food stamps, non-critical wound care, clothing and more.

Mahalo to Community Partners:

Aloha House: provided 16 clients with services regarding substance abuse and mental health, and provided one-on-one services to four clients.

Chaplain Ministries of Maui: provided 16 clients with information on housing and other available services.

Department of Education: distributed food and hygiene kits, sunscreen, and other personal care items.

Goodwill Maui: provided 16 clients with information on free services available.

Life Wireless: provided 16 clients with information on free government services and distributed two phones.

Maui Aids Foundation: distributed hygiene kits and Narcan.

Maui Humane Society: provided 18 clients with various services; distributed food, collars, leashes, harnesses, vaccinations, and microchips.

Project Vision: provided 16 clients with information on SNAP benefits.

The MMEU will be providing services within Kalama Park, Mondays through the month of March between the hours of 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
