Officials announce deployment of remote fire sensing technology

Fire Chief Brad Ventura joined U.S. Fire Administration Head Dr. Lori Moore-Merrell, DHS Science and Technology Undersecretary Dr. Dimitri Kusnezov, Gov. Josh Green, Hawaii DoD Adjutant General Hara, Maui Mayor Richard Bissen, Hawaii Island Fire Chief Kazuo Todd, Kauai Fire Chief Michael Gibson and technical specialists from N5 Sensors to announce the deployment of remote fire sensing technology throughout the Hawaiian Islands at a media event at the Wailea Fire Station.
These sensors will provide advanced 24-hour a day sensing and alerting coverage in South and West Maui.
