Mobile Medical Education Unit makes stop at Kalama Park

On Monday, the Mobile Medical Education Unit was stationed along Kalama Park offering Maui’s houseless community mental health services, food stamps, non-critical wound care, clothing, and much more.
Mahalo to Community Partners:
Aloha House: provided 12 clients with services regarding substance abuse and mental health.
Chaplain Ministries of Maui: provided 12 clients with information on housing and other available services.
Department of Education: distributed food and hygiene kits, sunscreen, and other personal care items.
Goodwill Maui: provided 12 clients with information on free services available.
Hui No Ke Ola Pono: provided 12 clients with health care information, program services, and distributed hygiene kits, sunscreen, and other personal care items.
Life Wireless: provided 12 clients with information on free government services and distributed two phones.
Maui Aids Foundation: distributed hygiene kits and Narcan.
Project Vision: provided 12 clients with information on SNAP benefits.
The MMEU will be providing services within Kalama Park, Mondays through the month of March between the hours of 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
