Restaurant manager who lost Kimo’s to the Lahaina fire to speak

Jack Starr lost Kimo’s Restaurant in the Aug. 8 wildfire, and he and his wife, Jennifer, lost their family home of 18 years.
HONOKOWAI — Next week Tuesday, Nov. 21, Jack Starr, former manager of Kimo’s Restaurant, will be the speaker at the meeting of the Rotary Club of Lahaina Sunset.
Starr spent a long career with Kimo’s and will share information about this iconic Lahaina landmark and what has unfolded since the fires.
He will share his story and his mission to support the community to help rebuild Lahaina.
The meeting will be held at the Aston Paki Maui Resort Ali`i Meeting Room.
The social starts at 5 p.m., and the meeting begins at 5:30 p.m. A light dinner will be served.
