WAILUKU — The Maui County Council will hold a press conference on Thursday, Oct. 26, at 2:30 p.m. on the eighth floor of the Kalana O Maui Building to answer questions and discuss debris removal, resource hubs, economic recovery efforts and other related matters, Chair Alice L. Lee announced.

Lee said the council plans to hold regular press conferences that will include no more than two councilmembers to comply with Sunshine Law regulations.

Councilmember Tamara Paltin from West Maui will participate in Thursday’s conference along with Chair Lee.

“The council’s goal is to remain in constant communication with community members and provide updates to the media on important disaster relief efforts,” said Lee, who holds the seat for the Wailuku-Waiheʻe-Waikapū residency area. “Our staff is continuing to look for ways to make information more accessible to everyone.”
