Fees waived for local businesses after fire

Registration fees are being temporarily waived for businesses affected by the wildfires on Maui, the state Department of Commerce and Consumer Affairs’ Business Registration Division announced Monday.

The waiver applies to fees for obtaining certificates of good standing and any copies of business registration documents filed with the division. It will be in effect through Dec. 31.

Requests for certificates of good standing, copies or certified copies with the fee waiver must be made through one of the following methods:

• By email at breg@dcca.hawaii.gov.

• By phone at (808) 586-2727, option 1.

• By fax at (808) 586-2733.

The public may also receive direct assistance by phone or in person at:
