Maui United Way recently selected the Lahaina Arts Guild as its Partner Agency of the Year.

Lahaina Arts Guild is a nonprofit providing arts education for children in the West Maui community.

LAG was chosen from among 38 Maui United Way partner agencies for recognition of outstanding service to the community.

“We are incredibly grateful to Maui United Way and to our community for recognizing Lahaina Arts Guild,” said Arts Education Director Kirk Boes.

“It was a complete surprise. MUW supports dozens of wonderful agencies in Maui County, and to be singled out for this honor is really humbling. LAG provided almost 3,500 art lessons for children in our community this year. We could not have done so without the generous support of Maui United Way and the help of many volunteers and other donors. We are grateful to all of them.”
