KAANAPALI — “Celebrations” will be the topic at the hybrid meeting of the Rotary Club of Lahaina Sunset at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday, June 29, at the Royal Ocean Terrace Restaurant at the Royal Lahaina Resort.

The meeting will also be available via Zoom for those who wish to view the meeting online.

This annual meeting will feature a recap of the 2020-21 “most unique” Rotary year of the club.

Recipients of the Vocational Service Awards for Individuals and a Nonprofit organization will be honored and recognized for their good works in the Maui community.

Also featured will be recognitions of the club’s “Go-for-the-Green” Scholarship recipients. Manuel Kupa’a Castro from Lahainaluna High School will share his college plans at the in-person event, and Reese Raguindin from Molokai High School will be on the screen to share her college plans.

A unique part of this event will be the celebration and sharing of activities that led this club to receive the Large Club-of-the-Year Award from Rotary District 5,000. Lahaina Sunset was the smallest of the large clubs and garnered this recognition from among a pool of 17 large clubs.

Members and guests are encouraged to attend this in-person meeting of the Rotary Club of Lahaina Sunset.
