Officials to discuss Red Cross Ready Rating program

Gordon Gillis has a recognized knowledge base of occupational health and safety sciences and the ability to analyze and communicate data and develop safety and health strategy.

WEST MAUI — Gordon Gillis, assisted by Jenny Worth, will be representing the American Red Cross and will make a presentation to the Zoom meeting of the Rotary Club of Lahaina Sunset at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 1.

Their presentation will feature information about the Ready Rating program.

Gillis is a recognized leader in the safety industry for over 25 years. As the owner/CEO of Safety Services Hawaii, he is a certified trainer for OSHA and the American Red Cross, with direct experience in monitoring, enforcing and correcting safety issues, regulations and procedures. He is currently volunteering as the government relations officer with the American Red Cross for Maui County and is active in emergency response and preparedness for the county and state.

An effective communicator, he has appeared in news briefings, most recently with Maui County Mayor Michael Victorino when cyclone Douglas was bearing down on Hawaii.

Club members will receive an automatic invitation to this Zoom meeting.
