Changes at the Lahaina News

By Staff | Jun 18, 2020

LAHAINA – Due to the COVID-19 pandemic and the state of the local economy, the Lahaina News must make changes to our distribution model.

Beginning with the June 25, 2020 issue, Lahaina News will no longer be in your mailbox. Each week, it will be distributed to key locations from Olowalu to Kapalua.

“Distribution locations will be all over West Maui. A list of convenient locations to pick up your Lahaina News each Thursday will be listed in the newspaper. The Lahaina News will continue to be your local newspaper. Nothing will change with our coverage of all the happenings in West Maui,” said Editor Mark Vieth.

If you wish to continue receiving the Lahaina News to your mailbox each week, great. Please see our subscription offer in the newspaper each week. For Maui residents, it is only $49 for a year subscription or $29 for six months.

Now in its 40th year, Lahaina News is West Maui’s community newspaper.

Vieth, Salesman Garth Panzer and writers Louise Rockett, Walter Chihara and Donnell Tate have all been with Lahaina News for decades.

“We love this community and newspaper, and we appreciate our loyal advertisers and the people who send us news and letters each week,” Vieth commented.

“We are all in this together, and we need your continued support now more than ever.”
