By Staff | Mar 24, 2020

LAHAINA – Lahaina Restoration Foundation has closed its staffed museums and cancelled its events and classes until further notice to help ensure the health and safety of its staff, visitors and the entire community in support of efforts to contain the spread of Coronavirus (COVID-19).

All cleanup and maintenance of parks and open spaces will continue, as will daily trash removal from the wooden barrels on Front Street.

The only LRF sites that remain open to the public are outdoor locations: Old Lahaina Prison, Apuakehau Cultural Park at Lahaina Public Library and the Pioneer Mill Smokestack.

All events and activities – including Lahaina Heritage Museum guided tours on Tuesdays and Thursdays, Apuakehau Cultural Park Wednesday classes and demonstrations, Mahjong Club at Wo Hing Museum on March 24 and the Hawaiian Music Series concert on Thursday, March 26 – have been postponed until further notice.

Check the LRF website at LahainaRestorationFoundation.org and social media platforms for further announcements and information.
