LAHAINA – Spring Semester 2020 will mark the 14th year for the University of Hawaii Maui College’s Lahaina Education Center, and those years have seen quite a bit of change.
It continues to offer credit courses via the two-way closed circuit TV system known as HITS (Hawaii Interactive Television Service), but the center has also become a hub for both exam proctoring services and a quiet study space.
Online classes have added to UHMC’s offerings and have made it easier than ever for working adults to return to college for a degree or certificate. For example, courses such as Human Relations in Management (MGT 122) is available online and can help employees in any field acquire skills for their current position or for future promotions.
Spring Semester classes begin on Jan. 13, 2020, and will continue through May 15. To apply to courses taught at the UH Maui main campus or at any Outreach Center, prospective students can begin at the college website (maui.hawaii.edu) and follow instructions.
The spring 2020 deadline for applying is Dec. 15.
