Rotary Club of Lahaina Sunset holds clothing drive for A Cup of Cold Water

By Staff | Jul 25, 2019

Paula Baldwin, director of A Cup of Cold Water, receives donated clothing and shoes from members of the Rotary Club of Lahaina Sunset.

LAHAINA – Paula Baldwin, director of A Cup of Cold Water, recently spoke at the Rotary Club of Lahaina Sunset. This organization provides a food and clothing distribution service for the poor and needy in the community and uses a care-van to deliver essential food, hygiene and clothing items throughout the island.

When asked what she needs most, Baldwin indicated that used clothing and shoes are always sought.

The challenge went out to the Rotary Club members to “clean out your closets and drawers!”

In less than two weeks’ time a cart loaded with donated bags and boxes of these needed items was delivered to Baldwin.

Upon receiving the donations, she said, “Thank you so much for picking up on the need for clothing. That’s the way these miracles continue to happen – people hear a need, gather goods, and ACCW hands them out. We appreciate the efforts of the Rotary Club of Lahaina Sunset!”

The Rotary Club of Lahaina Sunset meets on the first, third and fifth Tuesdays of every month at the Royal Ocean Terrace Restaurant at the Royal Lahaina Resort starting at 5:30 p.m.
