Na Kamehameha Commemorative Pa‘u Parade set for Saturday

Featuring pa‘u riders and cultural floats, the Na Kamehameha Commemorative Pa‘u Parade starts at 9:45 a.m. on Saturday, June 15, on Front Street.
LAHAINA – Featuring a parade and two days of festivities in Banyan Tree Park, the Na Kamehameha Commemorative Pa’u Parade & Ho’olaule’a is set for Saturday and Sunday, June 15-16, in Lahaina Town.
This year’s theme is “E Ku’upau a Kani Le’a Na Mele Kupuna” – Play Without Restraint Until The Songs of Our Ancestors Resound Joyously.
The parade will start at 9:45 a.m. on Front Street, which will be closed to motorists from Kenui to Shaw Street from 8:30 a.m. to noon.
Parade commentary stations will be located at ?Longhi’s, Kimo’s, Cheeseburger in Paradise, Lahaina Pizza Company and The Wharf Cinema Center.
Beginning at 9:45 a.m. on Saturday and 9 a.m. on Sunday, the ho’olaule’a will feature Hawaiian music, Polynesian dance and hula, local crafts, food and keiki activities.
