Lahainaluna HOSA students advance to state contest

Thirty-nine Lahainaluna High School HOSA students earned qualifying scores to compete in the Hawaii Career and Technical Student Organization Convention on Feb. 26-27, 2019 on Oahu.

LAHAINA – On Dec. 3, Lahainaluna High School students travelled to Baldwin High School to compete in the annual District Health Occupations Students of America (HOSA) competition.

Thirty-nine students earned qualifying scores to compete in the Hawaii Career and Technical Student Organization Convention on Feb. 26-27, 2019 at the Hawaii Convention Center on Oahu representing the Lahainaluna HOSA delegation.

Students will compete in their respective medical and leadership events in hopes of earning a top three spot in the state.

State winners will earn an opportunity to compete at the International Leadership Conference this summer in Orlando, Florida against the world’s most competitive students preparing for a career in healthcare.
