Foundation repairs sign welcoming motorists to Lahaina
LAHAINA – Lahaina Restoration Foundation recently finished repairs to the south-facing Lahaina welcome sign.
Located across from Puamana Park, the large redwood sign was re-installed last month.
The welcome signs located at the north and south ends of Lahaina were installed in the 1990s with financial support from the Lahaina Rotary Club. Kiewit Construction Company provided expertise and equipment to install the large sign posts.
Ewa Schultz, architect, designed the sign, and it was constructed by Saltwater Signs.
Jim Kohler installed the signs on the posts. Lahaina Restoration Foundation maintains the signs.
