American Cancer Society to hold West Maui events
WEST MAUI – Join the American Cancer Society as it kicks off the Relay for Life of West Maui season with a meeting on Tuesday, Jan. 30, from 5:30 p.m. at the Ho’onanea Pavillion at 15 E. Aku Lane in Lahaina.
This year, Relay for Life is celebrating hope with a “Mardi Gras” theme. For people who are passionate about saving lives and leading the fight for a world without cancer, attend this meeting to learn more. Parking is available nearby at Walgreens Lahaina. The event is free and open to the public.
In addition, the ACS Relay for Life of West Maui will host a “Walk for Life” on Saturday, Jan. 27, from 8 a.m. at the Kapalua Coastal Trail. The group will meet at Kapalua Beach. Physical activity helps lower the risk of cancer, and it’s a fun and healthy way to bond with others in the community. The suggested donation is $10. Funds raised go toward cancer research and free programs and services for cancer patients.
ACS will also host an “Escape Cancer” fundraiser on Sunday, Jan. 28, at 4:30 p.m. at Maui Escape Rooms on the third floor of Whalers Village. Have a fun, interactive adventure solving riddles and puzzles while supporting a good cause. Funds raised go toward cancer research and free programs and services for cancer patients.
