Needy children enjoy Christmas Block Party

Children visited with Santa and received toys at the party organized by Lahaina-based Church on the Go, Inc.

WAILUKU – Church on the Go, Inc. held its annual Christmas Block Party in Wailuku on Dec. 17. Now in its 19th year, the event is free for needy children.

The party at Wailuku Community Center featured entertainment, food and toys for all of the children.

Toy and prize donations came from Koa Puna Motorcycle Club, Royal Hawaiian Motorcycle Club, Nocturnals Car Club, Scion Sessions Car Club, Altered Intentionz Car Club, Maui Ocean Center, Bounty Music and anonymous individuals from the community.

Monetary donations were provided by David and Sheila Moore, Anthony Biga, Charlotte Richards, Ronald Daniels and Patrick and Jacqueline Kelly.

Donated services were provided by family and friends of Church on the Go and Pastor Laki & Malie Kaahumanu for set-up, decorating and ensuring the party ran smoothly.

Face painting was donated by Makeup and Talent Hawaii, drinks were donated by Pepsi Beverage Company, cleaning services were donated by PWC Hawaii, and Akima’s Catering LLC DBA Tru Grindz provided a large, in-kind donation by discounting on food catering. n
