Rotary Club of Lahaina Sunset inducts new members Valerie Kurtz and Ryan Beenken

LAHAINA – The Rotary Club of Lahaina Sunset recently welcomed as its newest members Valerie Kurtz and Ryan Beenken.
Kurtz grew up in Illinois and moved to Maui in 1991. She is currently employed as the learning manager (training and development) for Montage Kapalua Bay.
Beenken, a Maui resident for five years, is the general manager of Beach Bum’s BBQ & Island Grill located in Napili. His interests include public education, and he has been elected to serve as the community representative to the Lahainaluna High School Community Council.
Kurtz and Beenken were inducted by Assistant District Governor Marti Wukelic. Katie Zimmerman served as Kurtz’s membership sponsor and Liz May as Beenken’s sponsor.
The Rotary Club of Lahaina Sunset is a volunteer service organization of community leaders.
The club meets on the first, third and fifth Tuesday of each month at the Royal Lahaina Resort in Kaanapali. Guests are welcome.
