KAHULUI – Maui Business Brainstormers (MBB) invites Maui businesses to David Kapaku’s “Leading with the Aloha Spirit,” an interactive and educational session on Hawaiian culture and history, focusing on effective ways of sharing the Aloha Spirit to help businesses set a strong path for the year.

“Doing business in the most isolated civilization on Earth, Hawaii, can be a challenging exercise; yet there are businesses striving against the odds,” said Kapaku.

“As a Hawaiian entrepreneur in Maui’s Visitor Industry, the foundational key to our guests’ experience is the Aloha Spirit,” added Kapaku.

The event will be held at the Akaku Maui Community Media office in Kahului on Wednesday, Jan. 3, 2018, from noon to 4 p.m. Seating is limited, so register online with MBB at www.Meetup.com/MauiBusinessBrainstormers.

This is the first event in MBB’s “re-START SMART-er” series of five free educational events, one per week during the first month of the new year.

“The Aloha Spirit theme was purposely chosen to kick-off the series because it gives us direction, inspiration and encouragement to make good things happen in our business year; good things that will benefit others as well,” said the MBB organizers.

Lahaina resident Kapaku is a Hawaiian business owner with Hawaiian roots. He is also a leadership specialist, community leader, Hawaiian language teacher and Distinguished Toastmaster.

His natural talent in professional speaking captivates diverse audiences in his role as emcee for business events.

Part of MBB’s volunteer organizing team since August 2012, Kapaku is a certified speaker, coach, mentor and trainer with the John C. Maxwell Team.
