By Staff | Jun 29, 2017

Lisa Desalvio Isoda is a ten-year resident of West Maui. She has two sons, one on Maui and the other in San Diego. Her husband, Drew Isoda, is an ISP engineer with Charter Spectrum.

LAHAINA – Maui Arts League announced that Lisa Desalvio Isoda will coordinate the 2018 Maui Plein Air Painting Invitational (MPAPI), the largest fine art festival in West Maui.

She brings extensive organizational, management and point-of-service experience with local hospitality companies, including Maui Land and Pineapple Company Ltd. and Montage Kapalua Bay.

“We are delighted to have Lisa on board,” said Lois Reiswig, president of Maui Arts League. “Our returning art enthusiasts and collectors, and our new venue at the Royal Lahaina Resort give us opportunities to grow this weeklong fine arts festival. Lisa’s management skills, consumer experience and her love of art are a great fit with Maui Arts League.”

As event coordinator, Isoda has already started advance work for Presidents’ Week in February 2018, when Maui Arts League and Royal Lahaina Resort will bring to Maui 25 top landscape artists from across the nation.

Isoda will be recruiting West Maui families who want to host an artist in their home for ten days. She will also assist the Event Committee, a seasoned group of Maui Plein Air Painting Invitational volunteers who have developed and produced this very successful event for the past 12 years.

Isoda said, “I am delighted with the prospect of helping Maui Plein Air Painting Invitational volunteers make this phenomenal community art event even bigger. Everyone I have met has shown so much aloha.”
