LahainaTown Action Committee planning its biggest Lahaina Fourth of July fireworks display
LAHAINA – LahainaTown Action Committee is still fundraising for the biggest Lahaina Fourth of July event to date.
LAC is extending the display to 15 minutes. The group is also adding a free mobile app with the 15 minutes of synchronized music for the firework display and links to share the event on social media.
Businesses that are donating will have their logos on the apps banner.
The Fourth of July celebration is a major economic event for Lahaina and Maui. Lahaina is the place to be for Maui’s only aerial fireworks display, according to LAC, and it’s an event residents and visitors have come to expect and enjoy.
Last year, with the generosity of the community and business leaders, the event was successful with an estimated 20,000 participants. All donations will be publically acknowledged.
Donations for the Fourth of July can be made online at www.visitlahaina.com or by calling LAC at (808) 667-9175. Checks can be mailed to 648 Wharf St., Lahaina, HI 96761.
LahainaTown Action Committee promotes, preserves and encourages the historical, cultural, social, commercial and environmental vitality of Lahaina.
LAC was formed by business owners and residents in 1988 to preserve the historic integrity, rekindle the small town atmosphere and promote the uniqueness of Lahaina.
LahainaTown Action Committee is a 501(c)(4) nonprofit organization. It is primarily self-funded through membership dues, event revenue and promotional product sales.
