LAHAINA – On May 8, the Lahainaluna High School National Honor Society held a ceremony to induct new members.

The guest speaker at the event was Glen Pascual.

Daniel Espaniola, Joanne Dennis and Ashley Olson led the presentation of membership, and the induction ceremony was led by graduating senior Shania Abut.

The inductees are Kalea Acevedo, Joanna Marie Acosta, Ryan Agbayani, Rowel Ansagay, Briana Bandy, Jay Baptista, Kylee Dean-Kobatake, Stacia Eng, Maybel Galace, Jean Marie Ganoy, Eunice Honoya Gapar, Jerico Olpindo, CJ Palma, Citlaly Ramirez, Charlene Ramos, Shane Ramos, Seth Richards, Christina Jean Tadeo, Grace Takemoto and Brooke Whitehead.

NHS members for 2016-18 include graduating seniors Shania Abut (2016-17 president), Jamille Andres, Desiree Diaz, Brandon Flores, Jamie Fujii, Analiza Glauardo, Alana Power, Christine Ramos, April Serrano and Kristel Yagyagan (2016-17 vice president); and juniors Sheilaika Agbayani, Rachael Balagso, Krizhna Bayudan (2016-17 historian and 2017-18 secretary), Krystaleia Bettencourt (2016-17 treasurer and 2017-18 vice president), Natalie Brown, Francis Bui (2017-18 treasurer), Criselyn Cabading, Shirlene Companero, Darren Diga, Mihana Ho, Bailey Honda, Dalton Lins, Alexis Matias, Eva Olson (2016-17 secretary), Lily Tran, Hannah Valencia (2017-18 president), Leah Werblun (2017-18 historian) and Nikki Zamani.
