Applications available to seek waiver for LHS dress code policy

LAHAINA – Lahainaluna High School implemented a uniform T-shirt/dress code policy back in the 2015-16 school year.

Should any family wish to apply for a waiver to the uniform policy, applications may be obtained from the Lahainaluna High School Main Office from June 8-26.

Waiver applications will be due to the LHS Main Office by June 30, 2017, before 4 p.m. Only one waiver application will be signed out to each student or legal guardian.

Submitted applications will be reviewed, and if the application is complete, a representative from the School Community Council (SCC) will contact the legal parent/guardian to set up an appointment to meet with the SCC members during a special session to address the council as to why a waiver is being requested.

Special SCC sessions will be scheduled and held before the start of the 2017-18 school year.
