Theatre Theatre Maui summer youth program registration underway
LAHAINA – Theatre Theatre Maui is holding its 25th summer program in Lahaina, this year on the campus of Sacred Hearts School.
The camp runs for six weeks, June 12 to July 23, Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m., with varied times during the final week. Students will be immersed in all facets of theatre instruction, and the camp will culminate in live performances of “Disney’s Beauty and the Beast Jr.,” licensed through Music Theatre International.
Returning Summer Production Director Kristi Scott, a.k.a. the “Drama Queen,” will lead a team of talented theatre arts instructors.
Registration is going on now for students entering the fourth grade in the 2017-18 school year and up to the age of 18. Sponsored in part by the county Office of Economic Development, TTM’s programs continue to be affordable through the support of generous donors and the business community.
This summer’s tuition has been maintained at $425 and provides about 190 hours of instruction and performance time per student. TTM provides an early bird discount for cash and check payments only if made by May 15. Financial aid for qualified families may be considered if completed applications are submitted by May 15.
TTM also participates in fundraisers and will again partake in the annual Maui Charity Walk on Saturday, May 13.
