LAHAINA – West Side residents looking for a fast, fun and easy way to get rid of their recyclables are encouraged to stop by Malama Maui Nui and the Rotary Club of Lahaina Sunset’s Go Green Recycle event from 9 a.m. to noon on Saturday, Jan. 21, at Lahaina Cannery Mall.

On the third Saturday of every month, residents can bring a wide range of recyclable goods to the Lahaina Cannery Mall parking lot, including appliances, automobile batteries, bicycles, computers, plastics, scrap metal and more. Items that will not be collected include propane tanks, green waste, furniture, trash, motor oil, hazardous fluids/waste and paint.

The two organizations started the initiative to bring recycling to the West Side in July 2015. For more information about Go Green Recycling, visit malamamauinui.org.
