LAHAINA – The Rotary Club of Lahaina Sunset has welcomed Nina Paolo as its newest member.

Recently retired from a 26-year career with IBM in Northern California, Paolo moved to Maui in September, but her love for Hawaii began as a teenager while visiting her Navy brother on Oahu for summers and holidays.

Her IBM roles led her to work closely with Hawaii universities. As an IT services manager, she hired 75 percent of her department from the University of Hawaii and Hawaii Pacific University, as well as talent from Oahu and Hilo.

She also became IBM’s first campus relationship manager for Hawaii Pacific University. She is passionate about business development, mentorship and encouraging success for early career women.

She was joined at the ceremony by her husband, Silvio Paolo, and inducted by Rotary Assistant District Governor Wendy Hornack. Nancy Montoya served as Nina’s membership sponsor.

The Rotary Club of Lahaina Sunset is a volunteer service organization of community leaders. The club meets on the first, third and fifth Tuesday of each month at the Royal Lahaina Resort in Kaanapali. Guests are welcome.
