KAPALUA – Kapalua Resort announced the debut of Kapalua Restaurant Week – a new annual dining promotion launched to raise money for the community and drive business from resort guests and locals to participating Kapalua Resort restaurants.

Scheduled for the week of Oct. 17-23, participating restaurants will offer a two-course prix fixe menu for lunch and/or a three-course prix fixe menu for dinner daily, exclusively for Kapalua Restaurant Week.

Participants offering specially crafted menus will be charging $29 for lunch and $39 or $49 for dinner, of which $1 will go to support the Aloha Backpack Buddies program for every restaurant week prix fixe menu sold during this timeframe.

Additionally, Kapalua Restaurant Week restaurants are partnering with Maui Organic Ocean Vodka and Deep Island Hawaiian Rum to offer craft cocktails made with these locally made spirits.

The 2016 Kapalua Restaurant Week beneficiary is Maui Food Bank’s newest program, Aloha Backpack Buddies.

Aloha Backpack Buddies provides elementary school children who are on the free or reduced meal program at their school with a pre-filled backpack every Friday that contains six meals to take home for the weekend.

Participating restaurants include: Montage Kapalua Bay’s Cane & Canoe and Hana Hou; The Ritz-Carlton, Kapalua’s Banyan Tree, Kai Sushi and Burger Shack; Pineapple Grill; Plantation House; Sansei Seafood Restaurant & Sushi Bar; Taverna; and The Wine Palette.

The Kapalua Resort community is seeking opportunities to increase awareness of the world-class dining establishments in the resort to guests and residents throughout Maui.
