Contestants sought for Miss Maui Scholarship Pageant
The search is on. Do you wish to be the next Miss Maui 2017?
Young women between the ages of 17 and 24 are sought to compete in the 2017 Miss Maui Scholarship Pageant on Nov. 12, 2016.
The pageant is a preliminary to the Miss Hawaii and Miss America Scholarship pageants.
Under the new directorship of Pamela Souza and Rob Aguiar, the Miss Maui Organization wishes to make a commitment to provide scholarships to young women who aim to further their education and career aspirations, as well as serve in the public realm through volunteerism and charity.
Their mission as a committee is to provide a venue for scholarships along with a positive, fun and cultural experience for each contestant, culminating into a great show and competition night.
Along with other gifts and prizes, contestants are able to compete for several cash scholarships as well as the generous grand prize of a $10,000 scholarship from Argosy University.
The winner will go on to compete in the televised Miss Hawaii Scholarship state pageant in Honolulu in June 2017. For more information, or to apply, contact Souza at (808) 446-5815 or Aguiar at (808) 870-3283.
