Rotary Club of Lahaina Sunset to host talk on Lahaina Restoration Foundation

Theo Morrison will discuss Lahaina Restoration Foundation and the Lahaina Harborfront Improvement Project that started on June 2.

LAHAINA – On Tuesday, July 19, the Rotary Club of Lahaina Sunset invites the public to a talk by Theo Morrison, executive director of the Lahaina Restoration Foundation.

She will discuss the foundation and the Lahaina Harborfront Improvement Project, which began Phase I on June 2.

Executive director of the foundation since 2008, Morrison led the restoration of the Pioneer Mill Smokestack and oversaw the donation of two original Pioneer Mill Company locomotives.

She also headed the restoration of a plantation home now rented to a local family, implemented four cultural events at the Wo Hing Museum and created the two-day Lahaina Plantation Days event.

The Rotary Club of Lahaina Sunset’s community speaker series takes place during club meetings on the first, third and fifth Tuesday of the month at the Royal Ocean Terrace Restaurant at the Royal Lahaina Resort from 5 to 6:30 p.m. All are welcome to attend.
