WEST MAUI – A special Thanksgiving gift of gratitude and appreciation was presented to Lois Reiswig of Kapalua (and Janet Plumlee of Kahana) on Tuesday, Nov. 24, at Pineapple Grill in Kapalua.

The gift was presented at the monthly Hui Hoaloha (a gathering of friends) ladies’ luncheon for their tireless efforts to bring the needs of Maui’s non-profits to the attention of the ladies of Maui, who contribute their time, energy and resources to help these charities.

Reiswig started Hui Hoaloha 13 years ago to build camaraderie with Maui’s social ladies looking for ways to make a positive impact by helping out Maui’s non-profits.

Plumlee, who was off island and not able to personally receive her gift, has been a tremendous help as the behind- the-scenes assistant to Reiswig.

They each received a $350 gift certificate, contributed by the members of Hui Hoaloha, for a day of well-earned, head to toe pampering at the Montage Kapalua Spa.

There are over 350 women that are members of Hui Hoaloha; they feel grateful for the hard work and community contacts made monthly between Reiswig, Plumlee and all the restaurants, schools, points of interest and venues that offer their property for the luncheons.
