Events slated at Lahainaluna High School

By Staff | Oct 29, 2015

LAHAINA – Feeling creative? The Lahainaluna High School PTSA is pleased to announce that Lahainaluna students will once again have an opportunity to participate in the National PTA’s Reflections Art Program.

Students may submit creative works in up to six art categories: Visual Arts, Photography, Literature, Music Composition, Dance Choreography and Film Production. Entries must be inspired by this year’s theme of “Let Your Imagination Fly.”

All students must follow the general participation rules, as well as rules for each art category. These rules, as well as student entry forms, can be found on Edline.net under the PTSA tab, in the school library, or you can e-mail lahainalunaptsa@gmail.com and request a set of rules. The deadline to submit entries is Friday, Nov. 20.

Tutoring for math, science and writing is available for all Lahainaluna students on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays from 2:30 to 4:30 p.m. in Room K-11. Please contact your child’s counselor for more information.

Hey seniors – college applications will be held on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays after school in Hale Puke K-11. Please contact Ms. Kristy in the College and Career Center for more information; visit calendly.com/ kristy_arakawa/50min.

Get those Halloween costumes ready! LHS is having a Halloween Costume Contest on Friday, Oct. 30, at the new cafe stage during lunch. There are three categories to participate in: Most Creative, Scariest, and Cutest. Students from all grade levels – including teachers and staff members – are encouraged to have some school Halloween spirit and dress up. Please see Mrs. Carlos for rules and information.
