LAHAINA – The 2015-16 school year begins on Thursday, July 30. It is very important for incoming kindergartners to get registered now.

If your child turns five years old before or on July 31, 2015, register them at either King Kamehameha III Elementary School or Princess Nahienaena Elementary School immediately.

Register at the correct school for your geographical location: King Kamehameha III School – all ocean-side (makai) homes, Lahaina to Kaanapali through Honokahau; and Princess Nahienaena School – all mountain side (mauka) residences, Olowalu to Wahikuli.

Please refer to the following for registration: child must be five years old no later than July 31, 2015; child must be registered by his/her legal parent or guardian; original birth certificate or passport is required at time of registration; bring proof of residence (documents such as electric, telephone or cable bill, or housing rental agreement); child must have a physical examination and a TB Clearance within 12 months of starting school (a child cannot enter school without a current physical exam, TB Clearance, and a completed immunization record on an original Department of Education Form 14).
